Know What’s in Your Vape Cartridge
Recent media reports have underscored the importance of knowing what’s in your cannabis vape cartridge. One way to keep yourself safe and enjoy the benefits of cannabis is to purchase your concentrates from a licensed dispensary. This ensures that all of the weed products being sold have gone through a rigorous regulatory process and scrutinized under State health and safety laws.
Unfortunately, there are still a lot of illegal weed stores that think nothing of selling you bogus and sometimes dangerous products. If you are questioning the legitimacy of any California dispensary you can confirm it by visiting the Bureau of Cannabis Control license search tool.
Secondly, don’t share vape pens or carts with other people. You can’t be sure where someone else gets their weed. They may unknowingly be vaping dirty weed filled with pesticides, heavy metals, solvents, and other harmful elements.
Vaping is a great way to experience the benefits of cannabis, but it’s proven to be a health risk when subpar, illegal, and unregulated products make it to shelves. The best way to protect yourself is to know what’s in your vape cartridge. Make sure any weed product you purchase bears the universal state of California cannabis product symbol shown above.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, signs bill to decriminalize marijuana in New York. This will reduce illegal possession (less than 2 ounces) to a misdemeanor offense which is punishable by a small fine. This legislation is a good start but falls short of the legalization goal.
Gov. David Ige announced that legislation to decriminalize small amounts (very small) of marijuana has passed. The law specifies that possession of 3G or less of marijuana is a misdemeanor punishable by a $130 fine. Hmmm Hawaii, this is pathetic but we’ll take it because it’s progress!
